At the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, the Japanese held the first public display of the new Infiniti QX30 crossover. But it was only a pre-production car, and its commercial model, not very different from the conceptual predecessor, debuted in November 2015 simultaneously on two sides of the planet - at auto exhibitions in Guangzhou and Los Angeles.

In the summer of 2016, the SUV started to master the world arena, and in the first days of autumn it will become available to Russian buyers.

Indeed, the Infiniti QX30 looks quite attractive. In its streamlined and at the same time impetuous lines of the body, you can catch notes of insolence and courage of Japanese samurai, always ready to jump towards any challenge.
The exterior of the Infiniti QX30 successfully harmonizes with smooth futuristic curves, integrated sports elements and fanciful stamps, which not only give the crossover appearance and muscularity, but also provide excellent aerodynamics and additional downforce that improves the car's stability when making maneuvers.

In terms of dimensions, the Infiniti QX30 is a compact crossover. Its length is 4425 mm, its width excluding mirrors does not exceed 1815 mm, and its height is limited to 1515 mm. A 2700 mm gap fits between the wheelsets of the car, and its ground clearance reaches a quite solid 202 mm.

Inside, it looks even more original than its appearance. The interior of the crossover is decorated: bold, futuristic and no less daring than the exterior. Both the front panel and door panels, and even the seats are practically devoid of right angles and lines, together demonstrating the intricacies of leather, plastic and metal parts that create the image of an advanced youth car interior, because the target audience of the "Japanese" is "young" car enthusiasts (under 40 years old).

The superbly thought-out front seats do not raise any questions - they have a profile with pronounced sidewalls, and packing of optimal rigidity, and sufficient adjustment ranges. On the second row, two adults will sit down with all the amenities, but the third will definitely be superfluous.

The luggage compartment of the Infiniti QX30 is roomy - its volume in the "stowed" form is 430 liters. A properly configured compartment is finished with pleasant materials and equipped with a 12-volt outlet, and in the underground it hides a dock or a repair kit. "Gallery" fits into a completely flat floor in two parts, significantly increasing the amount of space for luggage.

Specifications. For the Russian market, the QX30 is equipped with only one gasoline engine - under the hood of the SUV is a 2.0-liter Mercedes four-cylinder engine with direct injection, a timing chain drive with 16 valves, turbocharging and a variable valve timing mechanism. It generates a maximum of 211 "stallions" at 5500 rpm and 350 Nm of available torque at 1200-4000 rpm. The power plant is paired with a 7-speed preselective "robot" with two "wet" clutches and an intelligent all-wheel drive transmission, complete with an electro-hydraulic clutch, which is able to distribute thrust between the axles up to a ratio of 50:50.

Asphalt disciplines for the five-door are not a problem: the maximum car gains 230 km / h, and takes 7.3 seconds to “shoot” up to the first “hundred”. In city / highway mode, it consumes no more than 6.7 liters per 100 km of run.

The compact crossover Infiniti QX30 is built on the meringue of the modular MFA platform with an independent arrangement of the chassis on two axles - McPherson struts in front and a multi-link in the rear. The share of high-strength and ultra-high-strength steel grades in the body structure reaches 73%. All wheels of the car are equipped with disc brakes with ABS, EBD, Brake Assist and other electronics.
An electromechanical amplifier with a variable gear ratio is built into the rack and pinion steering mechanism of the five-door.
