In the fall of 2007, the automaker Renault introduced the second-generation multi-purpose "heel" Kangoo to the world arena, and already in January 2008 launched its sales in leading markets. The French managed to raise the car to a new level of practicality, while giving it a very nice look.

In 2013, the cargo-passenger model underwent restyling, the results of which were a transformed "face", a revised interior and an expanded list of available equipment.

"Kangu" of the second generation looks attractive and original, and the credit for this belongs to the original proportions and rounded shapes, giving the car a recognizable, albeit a little eclectic look.

Almost everything in the appearance of the "heel" is perceived as appropriate, from stylish lighting equipment to embossed wheel arches. Well, it is not difficult to distinguish the passenger and cargo versions from each other: the first has glazing in the rear of the body, while the second does not.

On the Russian market, the "second" Renault Kangoo is available in two versions - a minivan and a van (in other countries, short and long wheelbase versions are also provided for the car). The length of the "Frenchman" is 4123 mm, height - 1803 mm, width - 1829 mm, and its wheelbase and ground clearance are 2697 mm and 158 mm, respectively.

In the "habitable compartment" of the car, one cannot find any design delights or special solutions - riders are greeted by a pretty design and comfortable ergonomics. A laconic and well-readable "toolkit", a three-spoke "steering wheel" of a multifunctional steering wheel, a pleasant-looking center console with a color screen of the multimedia complex (in basic versions, the display is much more archaic) and well-thought-out "remotes" of the audio system and air conditioning system - everything is simple inside the "heel" but tasteful.

In the front part of the second-generation "Kangu" cabin, there are seats with an overly soft filling, an almost flat profile and sufficient adjustment ranges. On the passenger version, a full-fledged rear sofa for three seats is added to them.

The luggage compartment of a minivan with five riders on board holds 660 liters of luggage, and the backrests of the rear sofa, laid flush with the floor, increase the useful volume to 2600 liters (the same capacity is in the van). In the "base", the car is supposed to rise up the trunk door, and for a surcharge - swing "doors" that open 180 degrees. The full-size spare wheel is suspended on the street, under the floor.

Specifications. For Russian consumers, the second "release" Renault Kangoo is available with two engines, which are docked with a "manual" transmission for five gears and drive wheels of the front axle.

  • As standard, the car is equipped with a 1.6-liter atmospheric petrol four-cylinder with a vertical layout, distributed fuel injection and 16 valves, the potential of which has 102 horsepower at 5750 rpm and 145 Nm of torque at 3750 rpm. From one place to the first "hundred", such a "heel" rushes after 13 seconds, its maximum capacity is 170 km / h, and the average consumption in the combined cycle does not exceed 7.9 liters per 100 km.
  • As an alternative, a 1.5-liter diesel engine with four cylinders, an 8-valve DOHC timing belt, turbocharged and a Common Rail injection system "acts", producing 86 "horses" at 3750 rpm and 200 Nm of ultimate thrust at 1900 rpm. In this modification, the car accelerates to a peak of 158 km / h, overcoming the starting spurt to 100 km / h in 16 seconds, and “drinks” no more than 5.3 liters of diesel fuel in mixed driving conditions.

The second incarnation of the Canggu rests on a Renault-Nissan alliance front wheel drive bogie called the C. The front of the vehicle rests on independent suspension with MacPherson struts, anti-roll bars and coil springs, while the rear rests on a semi-independent torsion beam architecture.
Nominally, the "Frenchman" includes a rack-and-pinion steering system with a hydraulic booster in its arsenal. On the front wheels "heel" ventilated 280-mm discs of the brake system work, and on the rear axle - 274-mm discs, which are assisted by electronic "gadgets".

Options and prices. In the Russian market, sales of the second "release" of Renault Kangoo were discontinued in July 2016 due to low interest from buyers, and until recently it was sold in our country at a price of 989,000 rubles (for the diesel version they asked for from 1,030,990 rubles ).
The initial configuration of the car implies the presence of two airbags, ABS, power steering, two power windows, standard audio preparation, an immobilizer, 15-inch steel wheels and some other options.
But in the "top" version, the "Frenchman" additionally has air conditioning, an on-board computer, light and rain sensors, heated front seats, "music" with AUX, USB and Bluetooth, fog lights and side mirrors with electric settings and heating.
