In 2002, AvtoVAZ presented to the public a three-door modification of the "twelfth", which received the working name VAZ-21123. In the same year, the car entered small-scale production, after which it remained on the assembly line until 2009, and during this its life cycle has gone through three small updates to its appearance.

Lada 112 Coupe looks the most attractive and laconic compared to other representatives of the "tenth" family, although in general it differs from the "twelfth" only by the absence of rear doors. An important role in creating a very dynamic look is played by the enlarged wheel arches and the spoiler, which seems to grow out of the window sill line.

The total length of the three-door is 4193 mm, and 2492 mm of which falls on the distance between the axles. The width and height of the car reach 1680 mm and 1435 mm, respectively, and under the bottom of the car you can see a 150 mm clearance (ground clearance). The hatchback's curb weight is 1050 kg, and its total weight exceeds 1.5 tons.

In the VAZ-21123 cabin, there are practically no differences from the standard "twelfth", with the exception of other door trims and aluminum pedals, and in some versions also the front seats, which can be ordinary "tenths", original bucket-type or even branded Recaro.
Access to the rear sofa is facilitated by wide doorways, although the headroom is limited in all directions.

The volume of the Lada 112 Coupe's cargo compartment is 344 liters, and when loaded under the roof - 370 liters. A full-size spare wheel and tool kit are based in the boot underground.

Specifications. Under the hood of the VAZ-21123, one gasoline engine was installed - this is a 1.6-liter in-line "four" with a 16-valve timing, the performance of which has 90 horsepower at 5000 rpm and 130 Nm of peak thrust, realized at 3700 rpm.
The motor is aggregated with a 5-speed "mechanics" and front-wheel drive.

The three-door spurt to the first "hundred" after 12.5 seconds, gaining a maximum of 180 km / h.
In urban driving conditions, the car consumes 9.8 liters, and on the highway - 5.7 liters.

In terms of technical parameters, the three-door "twelfth" copies the standard model: a front-wheel-drive platform with independent front and semi-independent rear suspensions (MacPherson struts and torsion beam, respectively), rack and pinion steering gear (there were also versions with a hydraulic booster), disc brakes in front and drum brakes at the rear.

Against the background of "brothers" in the family, the car stands out with an interesting appearance and more gambling driving characteristics, but it is noticeably inferior to them in terms of practicality.

Prices. In Russia, the supported variants of the Lada 112 Coupe are sold at prices ranging from 140,000 to 200,000 rubles.
