The Peugeot 308 GT is a front-wheel drive "heated" compact car, available in two five-door solutions: hatchback or station wagon ... According to the French automaker, this car combines sporty spirit with comfort and versatility ...

The "live" premiere of the GT-five-door was celebrated in October 2014 - on the stage of the International Motor Show in Paris, but their official sales in the countries of the Old World started only in February 2015.

At the beginning of June 2017, a restyled model debuted, which received minor external changes and new equipment.

Outside, the Peugeot 308 GT slightly differs from its "civilian counterparts" - their signs are LED headlights in the basic equipment, aerodynamic body kit around the body, 18-inch wheels of the original design and a rear bumper with a black diffuser and two "curly" exhaust pipes.

The overall length of the GT-version of the hatchback is 4253 mm, the height is 1457 mm, the gap between the pairs of wheels is 2620 mm (for the station wagon, these figures are 4585 mm, 1472 mm and 2730 mm, respectively). The width in both cases does not exceed 1804 mm, and the ground clearance is 110 mm.

In the "combat" state, five-doors weigh from 1200 to 1425 kg (depending on the modification).

Inside, the "heated" Peugeot 308, in fact, practically do not differ from the standard versions of the "three hundred and eighth", but a "pinch" of GT-accessories (like metal pedals and red stitching on the seats, front panel and doors) is present here.

Otherwise, it is the same spectacular and high-quality tailored salon, designed to accommodate five people.

And in terms of practicality, the GT-modifications repeat the "civilian" models: the hatchback trunk can hold from 420 to 1228 liters of luggage, and the station wagon - from 660 to 1660 liters.

There are two engines to choose from for the Peugeot 308 GT:

  • The first option is a 1.6-liter gasoline "four" with a turbocharger, a direct injection system, a 16-valve timing configuration and variable valve timing, which produces 205 horsepower at 6000 rpm and 285 Nm of torque at 1750 rpm.
  • The second is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine with Common Rail battery power and 16 valves, generating 185 hp. at 3750 rpm and 400 Nm of maximum recoil at 2000 rpm.

The petrol engine is jumbled with a 6-speed "mechanics", and the diesel one - with an 8-band "automatic" (both - with a front-wheel drive transmission).

From a place to the first "hundred" the car breaks down in 7.5-8.2 seconds, and the maximum gains 218-235 km / h (depending on the modification).

The fuel "appetite" of the 205-strong version fits into 5.6 liters in the combined mode, and the 185-strong version - in 4.1 liters.

Structurally, the Peugeot 308 GT practically does not differ from the base models: modular EMP2 bogie, independent MacPherson-type architecture at the front and semi-independent beam at the rear, electric power steering and disc brakes on all wheels (ventilated at the front), complemented by modern gadgets.

At the same time, the "heated" five-door boasts different chassis settings and more durable brakes.

The second incarnation of the GT versions of Peugeot 308 is not officially imported to the Russian market, but in Europe (to be more precise, in France) they are sold at a price of 32,150 euros (~ 2.2 million rubles) for the gasoline version and from 35,950 euros ( ~ 2.47 million rubles) for the diesel version.

As standard, these cars are equipped with: six airbags, ESP, multimedia complex, ABS, EBD, LED optics, heated and electronic front seats, two-zone "climate", an audio system with six speakers and other equipment.
