Outwardly, the Mazda2 is a typical Mazda product. The design of the car is made in the corporate style, first used on the Mazda RX-8 sports car. Mazda 2 is even positioned as a woman's, but, apparently, it will suit a young man as well - after all, the Mazda 2's driving characteristics are quite capable of giving pleasure from active driving.

Trying to find flaws in the Mazda 2's driving performance, except for minor and understandable oversights, it will not be possible to find serious flaws in the car. During the test, the car demonstrates good suspension capabilities - although potholes (or tram rails) can cause discomfort (this car fulfills them harshly), but the suspension is quite energy-intensive - it is not easy to catch a breakdown.
On the track, the Mazda 2's 1.5-liter petrol engine delivers all its 103 horsepower. and pleases with low fuel consumption (5.9 liters per 100 kilometers with “mechanics” in mixed mode).

B-class cars, according to statistics, are more popular in versions with an automatic transmission, but this is easily explained - such cars are more often bought by women. The Mazda 2's automatic transmission is well-behaved at the start, but slightly disappointing when overtaking or uphill. The fact is that “uphill” shifts are smooth and fast, but the kick-down makes the hydraulic four-stage mechanism think about it, but in this case there is no full-fledged manual mode. But the manual gearbox allows you to fully use all the capabilities of the car - switching pleases with a short lever stroke and clarity.

From the handling of the Mazda 2, you can really get real pleasure, closing your eyes to the fact that such cars are considered feminine in our country. The steering wheel of the car is accurate, informative, and the chassis setting allows you to control the steering with the gas pedal. Of course, for most modern B-class cars, this is quite normal, but the Mazda 2 gives a special feeling of unity with the mechanism.

If you summarize your impressions of the car and look back at the success of Mazda in our market, Mazda2 is seen as a clear contender for the role of the sales leader in the B segment, no matter what evil tongues may speak.
